Fairfax Place Admissions

Fairfax Place Admissions

Facing the complex and challenging decision of placing your loved one in a nursing facility is one that caregivers should not have to face alone. Keeping this in mind, our staff makes a joint effort with every family to be sure that Fairfax is the ideal fit for your loved one. Whether they need skilled rehab, 24-hour care, assisted living, or independent living, we are here to research and offer what we see as the best fit.

Our admissions team consists of our Social Worker, one of our nursing Unit Managers, our Accounts Receivable Manager and a representative from our admissions department. Each member of our team plays a crucial role in admitting a resident.

Going beyond the call of duty is one of the core values of our admissions team. Often, families need assistance beyond their scope of knowledge and we have taken ownership of keeping our families informed on the care of their residents. Information is available at your request and is also in constant circulation between care conferences, Family Nights, and our newsletter.

Types of Admissions:

  • Comprehensive Rehabilitation: (physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapies)
  • Respite Care: short-term stay (designed for caregivers who are traveling or need brief relief, but are unable to find an alternative caregiver)
  • Hospice Care: palliative care that provides additional support needed by those who are terminally ill
  • Long-term Care: for those who can no longer maintain a safe living environment on their own

Our team can assist you with payment options, review insurance coverage, and assist with the Medicaid application process if necessary.
